With April coming to its end and May just around the corner, Simone is finishing two TAP residencies (Teacher-Artist-Partnership) with the two Limerick schools Athlacca NS and St Nessan’s NS. Funded by Limerick Education Centre, Simone worked with the Junior and Senior Infants at Athlacca School and with a 4th class at St Nessan’s. In both schools stories were told and explored. The younger children got to meet Gimme the Baby Vulture puppet and made their own sock-puppets, each with their own name, story and home!
The older students were encouraged to bring their own stories and riddles and shared many a funny tale. They wrote and recorded stories which will now be made into little videos with art created by the students. It was a wonderful experience and a pity that it is over!
